An absolutely must visit place for people who are big fans of Outlander! This house or even a mansion, offers a spectacular journey of Scottish history with exhibits ranging from the Roman period to modern times and even a Victorian kitchen. If you’re a big history buff and love Scottish history in general - this place is just for you! And admission is free as well!

PARADA OBLIGADA PARA FANS DE LA SERIE OUTLANDER.
Casa torre del S.XIV ubicada en Callendar Park en Falkirk, Escocia. Fué ampliada en el S.XIX al estilo de un castillo renacentista francés con toques de arquitectura escocesa. Los interiores de la casa han sido restaurados para recuperar su antiguo esplendor de estilo georgiano. Es el museo principal del distrito de Falkirk, en lo que respecta al arte, historia y casa museo histórica. Tiene dos salones de recepción, el salón rosa y el verde y una cocina de época georgiana en pleno funcionamiento, que te transporta al pasado. EN ESTA COCINA SE RODÓ UNA ESCENA DE LA SERIE OUTLANDER. ERA ESCENARIO DE LA CASA DEL DUQUE DE SANDRINGHAM Y ES DONDE OCURRE LA TRÁGICA MUERTE DEL DUQUE.
Cuenta en sus inmediaciones con zonas ajardinadas, parque infantil, un lago navegable y el muro de Antonino o muralla (antigua construcción defensiva de la isla de Gran Bretaña. Fué inscrita en la lista de patrimonio de la humanidad como partes de las "fronteras del imperio romano"). Detrás de la casa está Callander Wood con una serie de senderos entrañables para pasear.
Recomiendo la visita totalmente, no sólo si eres fan de la serie sinó porque es un entorno muy bello. Incluyo videos y fotos.

wonderful place to see, especially because its free. there are a few rooms with information about the building itself. the kitchen is famous for a scene in outlander.

We arrived 1 hr before closing on a Sunday afternoon and were greeted by a friendly staff member who gave us a map of the premises. The museum is over three floors and gives a very informative overview of the history of Scotland and Falkirk. Very good toilet facilities. Worth a visit!

Free entry very interesting beautiful building filled with Scottish history cool kitchen free parking and the cafe is brilliant. Fantastic grounds and play park for little ones.
